Residents urged to exercise caution amid storm; some schools move to remote learning Thursday

Most, if not all, municipalities int he region will be dealing with snow plowing and removal the next two days and are cautioning residents and motorists.
A check of advisories posted Wednesday afternoon revealed:
* Mill Hall Borough has declared a Snow and Ice Emergency starting Thursday Dec. 15 at 12:01 p.m. until Friday Dec. 16 at 12:01 p.m. There will be no parking on Mill Hall Borough snow routes.
* Beech Creek Borough Secretary Roni Roan posted to their Facebook page asking citizens to find alternative parking off the streets to allow employees to clean the roads sufficiently.
* Similarly, Director of Community Life for the City of Lock Haven Kasey Campbell shared a post from the Lock Haven City Police prohibiting residents from parking on the following streets beginning Thursday Dec. 15 at 5 a.m. to Friday Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.
– E Main from First Street to Henderson
– E Church Street from N. Vesper to N Jay Street
– N Grove from E Church to E. Water St.
– N Vesper from E Church to E. Water St.
– Bellefonte Avenue
By order of the Lock Haven Chief of Police, free parking will be provided in all city-owned off-street metered parking lots during the above times to accommodate those needing to park downtown.
Centre County Recycling will not be picking up recyclables on Thursday due to the weather, but Thursdays refuse schedule will not be effected.
Keystone Central School District has also declared it will be operating on a full remote learning day Thursday Dec. 15 due to the oncoming storm.
Bald Area School District will also not have in-person class attendance Thursday due to the weather.
