Officials: Robbery suspect still at large in Lamar/Green Townships area

A potentially armed suspect from a robbery in Clearfield County is still at large according to emergency officials.

The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services made the update hours after initially ordering a shelter-in-place for residents along Spruce Run Road in Lamar and Greene townships.

Authorities are continuing to search the area, utilizing drones, helicopters and personnel on foot, where the suspect crashed his vehicle at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

According to an Express reporter on the scene early during the incident, residents who were not already home could not return, as roadways were blocked from on-coming traffic.

Officials are continuing to search for the suspect, who allegedly robbed a bank in Chester Hill, Clearfield County on Feb. 6.

The suspect is a white male with brown hair, five feet and 9 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt of an unknown color.
