Law enforcement and emergency personnel are continuing to search the area of Spruce Run Road in Lamar and Greene townships for a potentially armed robbery suspect.
The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services made the update early Thursday morning, noting that the shelter-in-place order initially made Wednesday afternoon has now been lifted.
“Law enforcement is continuing to search and investigate leads at this time,” the department said. “The shelter-in-place has been lifted at this time.”
Authorities are continuing to search the area, where the suspect crashed his vehicle at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect allegedly took part in a robbery in Chester Hill, Clearfield County on Feb. 6, according to authorities.
The suspect is a white male with brown hair, five feet and 9 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt of an unknown color.
