Boil Water Advisory in place for East Water Street residents

LOCK HAVEN – Following a water main break near the intersection of Water and Jay streets on Wednesday, the City of Lock Haven is issuing a Boil Water Advisory for some residents in that area. The following message was released on Wednesday afternoon:

The Residents of Residents at 105-131, 138-222, and 300-320 E. Water Street may be at increased risk for Microbial Contamination. On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, we experienced a loss of positive water pressure due to a line repair.

Residents should not drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using; or use bottled water. You should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.

We will inform you when all corrective actions have been completed and when you no longer need to boil your water. For more information, please contact the Water Department at 570-893-5909.
