Flood warning issued for Bald Eagle Creek until April 6

A flood warning was issued in Clinton and Centre counties in the area of the creek until Saturday morning by the National Weather Service. MILL HALL – The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the area of Bald Eagle Creek until roughly 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 6.

“For the Bald Eagle Creek, including Beech Creek station, minor flooding is forecast,” a release from NWS said.

The following information was included in the release:

IMPACTS

At 10.0 feet, Overgrown pastures and agricultural fields

on the left bank are affected by high water.

At 11.0 feet, High water levels threaten the cottage area of Mill

Hall downstream of Beech Creek Station.

At 13.0 feet, Homes in the cottage area are isolated by high water

from Bald Eagle Creek.

At 14.0 feet, Homes in the cottage area are cutoff by high water

from Bald Eagle Creek.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

– At 4:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.8 feet.

– Forecast: The river is expected to rise above flood stage

this afternoon to a crest of 12.9 feet just after midnight

tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday

evening.

– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
