A 17-year-old female perished in a single plane crash on Thursday morning, according to state police at Lamar. “At approximately 10 a.m. PSP was notified of a plane crash into the woods on Allegheny St, in Woodward Twp. The pilot, a 17-year-old female, was pronounced deceased on scene and was the sole occupant of the Cessna 172,” the release stated. The crash saw the street closed for some time on July 4, with emergency responders closing nearby roadways and encouraging the public to keep away from the area while the investigation took place.
