Verizon experiences outage in Lock Haven area
LOCK HAVEN – Verizon customers in the Lock Haven area may have noticed their data, internet and other services stopped working Tuesday afternoon.
According to Verizon’s “Check Network Status” service at https://www.verizon.com/support/check-network-status/ the Lock Haven area is experiencing limited data, voice text and wireless home internet services beginning at about 1:30 p.m.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Verizon was estimating services would be restored at about 1:32 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
No further details were made immediately available about what may be causing the disruption.
The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services noted on its Facebook page the outage has affected its non-emergency line.
“Currently the Clinton County 911 center is experiencing phone issues with our NON-EMERGENCY lines. 911 is still working. We are working with our vendor to resolve this issue. Please try 570-769-7814 for non emergency situations,” the announcement read.
