Two Centre County warming shelters offered during cold snap
BELLEFONTE– Given the extreme cold temperatures and wind chills in the forecast for
Centre County, some spaces have been converted to warming shelters. They are:
J.K. Yearick Center, 341 Walnut Street, Howard, PA 16841
Howard Fire Company has opened its banquet hall as a space for people to keep warm. The
company can be contacted on their Facebook page or their non-emergency phone line 800-
479-0050.
Trinity Bellefonte, 128 W. Howard Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823
A church in Bellefonte has opened its doors for people who need a place to stay warm. The church will remain open for 24 hours per day for the next few days. People are encouraged
to stop by to warm up and have coffee.

few days, please contact Centre Helps 1-800-494-2500.
