LH council appoints Roberts as interim city manager

LOCK HAVEN - Lock Haven City Planner Abbey Roberts was unanimously appointed to serve as interim manager at a special meeting Thursday night. The decision comes days after council voted 4-3 to suspend and ultimately terminate former manager Gregory Wilson from the role at its regular meeting on Monday night. Roberts will assume Wilson’s former duties as manager and clerk effective immediately and receive a $5,000 monthly stipend on top of her current salary. The National Weather Service is warning residents to prepare for cold temperatures tonight into Tuesday afternoon. NWS released a cold weather advisory over the weekend, which says wind chills as low as 10 to 20 degrees are expected in Southern Clinton, Centre, Bedford and Blair counties. “The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions aren’t taken,” the advisory states. LOCK HAVEN - Tensions could be felt at the start of Lock Haven City Council’s second meeting of 2026 as it passed a resolution in a 4-3 vote to terminate Gregory Wilson from his position as city manager. The decision came after council held an executive session prior to its meeting on Monday night.
