Larry W. Myers
Larry W. Myers, who greeted so many with a smile at the doors of Faith United Methodist Church Montoursville, was himself greeted at the heavenly gates on Friday Aug. 1, 2014.
Larry, age 59, of 1127 Elm St. Montoursville, PA, was born May 10, 1955 in Lock Haven. He was the son of H. LaRue and Dorothy Mae Alexander Myers.
Larry worked at Alcan Cable in Williamsport for 30 years as a Production Specialist. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, enjoyed his Harley Davidson, salt water aquariums, traveling to Jamaica, and making people smile.
Larry was a funny, brave, and kind man; one of those rare persons about whom nothing bad could be said. His bright eyes and great smile brought joy and happiness to all who knew him. For those of us who knew him, perhaps we can honor his memory by being more like him. For those who only knew of him, perhaps you can do the same.
Larry was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Clarence “Skip” Myers.
He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, the former Kimberly Dincher Fowler; one son, Enoch L. Myers of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; one stepson, Virgil (Rachael) Fowler and soon-to-be-born granddaughter of Fairview, Montana; one stepdaughter, Katelyn Fowler of Montoursville; one sister, LuAnn (Michael) Myers-Pinelli of Two Rivers, Wisc.; a stepmother Mary Myers of Lock Haven; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, with the Rev. Larry L. Leland officiating. Burial will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church/Living Water International. In March of 2015, a well will be drilled in Honduras in Larry’s honor.
