Lanny R. Allen, 74, of Daffodil Lane, Dunnstown passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home.
Born July 18, 1945 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Guy E. and Geraldine (Schadt) Allen.
On Nov. 26, 1967, he married his love, Jean M. (Epperly) Allen, who after being her caregiver during an eight year battle with Alzheimer's Disease, preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 2015.
Lanny was employed by the Plumbers Union Local 24 of New Jersey. In 1986 he retired from Phillip J. Deleasa & Sons where he had the opportunity to work on the plumbing at the New York Times.
He was a past member of the Sons of Italy, Lock Haven American Legion and Castanea Fire Company.
Lanny enjoyed going on trips to the casino. Most of all, though, he enjoyed taking care of his home.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Lanny P. and Joyce Allen of McElhattan; a sister, Ruth Ann Savio of Howard; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Heverly and Patty Myer; two infant siblings, Mona and Gerald; and his beloved pug, Alice.
Private services will be held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army through the funeral home.
