Carl Ellery "Skip" Irvin, 82, of Beech Creek, went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 2, 2021.
He was born in Beech Creek on Aug. 26, 1938 to the late Charles and Orpha (Harber) Irvin.
Skip graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in 1957. He married the late Ruth (Beahm) Irvin on June 21, 1957.
Skip had worked at various factories and lumber related businesses and had served in the Lock Haven National Guard Bureau. He had attended the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, enjoyed spending time at camp on the Beech Creek mountain and had been a member of the Beech Creek, Blanchard Fire Company and Gideon's Bibles.
Skip is survived by two sons Carl "Chic" (Levina), of Palmerton, and Timothy (Deborah), of Annville; and two daughters, Rachel (Timothy) Weaver, of Pine Grove, and Tammie (Timothy) Winters, of West Decatur.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and late wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Baker, and brothers Bernard, Leslie, Sheldon, R. David. A brother, Robert, passed away approximately 10 hours after Skip.
He is survived by two sisters, Roberta (Irvin) Muthler and Hope (Irvin) Marston.
Skip was also preceded in death by a very dear friend Catherine Shaw.
Funeral services will be held in the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, Pa. on Friday Jan. 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Allen Eckenroad.
Family and friends will be received in the church one hour prior to the services. Current CDC guidelines will be enforced.
