Allen C. “Fuzz” Weaver

Allen “Fuzz” Weaver, 89, husband of Donna (Courter) Weaver passed away on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at home. Born Oct. 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Robert S. and Faye E. (Wagner) Weaver.
Allen spent his youth in Rosecrans, Pa., where he passed his time helping on his family’s farm and playing in the fields with his many siblings and cousins. He worked at Hammermill, 27 North Service Station, Schrack’s Valley Service. He was well known in the community as a Rural Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years.
Allen was well known for his love of his family. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Allen was a born story teller, and would often share his stories with friends and family. He also loved bringing a smile to everyone’s face. He was always ready with a joke, riddle or prank for any occasion that he encountered. He especially loved decorating his home at Christmas and bringing joy to others with his light displays. Allen also enjoyed gardening, snowmobiling, softball, and his animals, even the horses that he loved to take care of, but never rode.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Weaver, daughters: Valerie (Lynn Hartley) Weaver of Spring Hill, FL; Leslie “Jo” (George) Ginter of Harrisburg, Pa., Ashley (Jim) Perez of Loganton, Pa and one son: Gregory (Carmell) Weaver of Loganton, Pa. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Courtney Cummings, Cheyenne Weaver, Brayden Perez, and Brooklyn Perez, and two great-grand children; Skylynn Taylor and Raylynn Cummings. He is survived by two brothers: Earl (Liz) Weaver of Loganton, Pa., and Roland (Lana) Weaver of Mill Hall, Pa. He is survived by one sister: Donna Miller of Loganton, Pa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended and special family members.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Grace Courtney, Ruth Naso and Shirley Ilgen, as well as five brothers: Harold, Elmer, Richard, Russell and Robert.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, Eastville, Pa with Pastor Ken Geisewite officiating. A visitation will be held in the church on Monday one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation of your choice, in Allen’s Memory.
