Donald C. Welch, III, 76, passed away suddenly, due to a heart attack, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at his residence in North Port, Fla. He was born on Sept. 6, 1945, in Lock Haven, Pa., to the late Rosanna and Donald C. Welch, Jr.
Donald worked in Lock Haven, Pa., at the family-owned business, Don Welch Motor Company, for approximately 20 years before moving to Florida where he continued to be a car salesman. In 1982, he married the former Judy Swinton, of North Port.
Hunting and fishing were Donnie's passion all throughout his life. He loved going to the family hunting camp in Lock Haven off the Carrier Road to hunt for deer and bear. He was known by many to catch his limit early in the morning every time he went fishing.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Judy, three daughters, three stepchildren, a sister, Suzanne Sigmund of Sebring, Florida and his many pet cats.
Arrangements were made by the Farley Funeral Home in North Port with private services planned by the family.
