Gail Marie Gephart

Gail Marie Gephart, age 73, of Mackeyville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 22, 2022.

Born August 18, 1948, she was the daughter of Sara Gilmore Gehret and the late C. David Gilmore Jr.

Gail was a 1966 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.

Gail married her high school sweetheart, Charlie Gephart, on Jan. 6, 1968, with whom she celebrated over 50 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2020.

Gail served the public for over 43 years, including 20 years with her husband as co-owner and operator of the former Charlie’s Grocery, as a teacher assistant in Keystone Central School District, a clerk in the office of the Clinton County Prothonotary, and as an elected official for Clinton County Register and Recorder and Clerk of Orphans’ Court.

Gail enjoyed walking the village of Mackeyville and taking care of any stray animals that wandered to her back porch.

She was a member of New Hope Fellowship where she grew in her faith daily and loved her church family dearly.

Along with her father and husband, Gail was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Gilmore; and her nephew, Rick Kriner.

She is survived by her mother, Sara Gehret; her sister, Terry Kriner and brother-in-law, John; her sister-in-law, Donna Gilmore; her daughter, Kim Marconi and son-in-law, Steve; her daughter, Tammie Readinger and son-in-law, Shawn; her grandchildren, Jessica Marconi (Noah Long), Landon Readinger and Katie Readinger; and great grandchildren, Kylan and Rosely Readinger; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved greatly.

Respecting Gail’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
