Danny L. Conway, Sr., age 63, of Flemington, passed away March 28, 2023 at UPMC Haven Place. He was born in Lock Haven on April 5, 1959 to the late Doris Bitner.
Dan was a 1977 graduate of Lock Haven High School and attended Penn State University. He was employed at Hammermill Paper Company and a self-employed contractor who built several homes in the area. He also taught Construction Trades at the KCSD Vo Tech for many years.
Dan was united in marriage to Susan (Frazier) Conway on May 22, 1999. She resides at home. Dan enjoyed spending time at their camp with family and friends, hunting and traveling to anywhere that had a beach. He fulfilled his dream of seeing Pearl Harbor in 2014.
He was a past member of the LH Area Jaycees and the 40&8 Club. He devoted many hours to refurbishing the traincar "Locy" for the parades and holding the annual Porkfest picnic.
Dan was a veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1977-1984.
Surviving are his children, Tami Pedigree, of Fla., Danny Conway, Jr. (Brandie), of Trout Run, and Kaitlyn Chapman (Gannon), of Jersey Shore; two sisters, Sharon Nixon, of Lock Haven and Kimberly Verne (Nick) of McElhattan; a brother, Gary Conway (Regina), of Georgia; one granddaughter, Hunter Swartz; a grandson, Isaac Chapman; along with several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Maxx.
Dan was predeceased by his mother; a sister, Alaina Conway, and a grandson, Lincoln Chapman.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
