Leonard G. Young, Sr.

Leonard G. Young, Sr., 81, of Oak Ridge Lane, Mill Hall, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Avis.

Born July 7, 1941 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Garland R. and Virginia M. Frank Young.

Lenny was a 1960 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

He proudly served in the United States Navy.

Lenny was a contractor who was talented in many areas including building, plumbing, heating and air conditioning.

He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Flemington.

Lenny was also a member of Citizens Hose Company, Black Raven Drum and Bugle Corps of Flemington, Lock Haven Moose and the American Legion in Avis.

He enjoyed hunting.

Surviving are his children, Deborah (Kevin) Mark, of Maryland, Leonard G. (Kathy) Young, Jr., of Mill Hall, and Krista Young, of Avis; a sister, Cindy Nyman, of Avis; five grandchildren, Brandon, Katelyn, Traci, Chandler and Brent; three great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.

Lenny was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Young, and grandson, Leonard G. Young, III.

Services will be held at the convenience of his family.
