Beloved father to Anna Betar, Ross Betar; son to Walter Betar.
Doug was an avid golfer. He also coached basketball for Lock Haven University and was a major sports lover. Doug loved going on vacation with his family to Hilton Head Island.
Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd., 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, has been entrusted with arrangements. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, at 1 p.m. at Living Word of Plum.
