Nancy Lee Stover, 83, of Bellefonte, got her wings on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg with loved ones by her side. Born on April 18, 1940, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late J. Marvin and Catherine (Eminhizer) Lee. On Dec. 26, 1969, she married Edward Kline Stover, who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2001.
Nancy grew up on the family estate in Houserville and was very proud of her roots, including the time spent in England where her father taught school. With education in mind, Nancy was a graduate of State College High School, class of 1958. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Penn State University in Psychology. She held several positions throughout her career, from working as the assistant to the Dean's Office of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology, helping run the family business, and retiring as the Human Resources Manager for the former SPE Federal Credit Union.
In addition to her work, she had many affiliations, several of which were passed down from her parents who were historians. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, Centre County Historical Society, Centre County Library and Historical Museum, and always looked forward to her favorite holiday that included Victorian Christmas in Bellefonte. Just to name a few.
When Nancy wasn't supporting a non-profit, you could find her doing leisurely activities. Her favorite activity was genealogy and tracing the family history back to the stone age (or as many of us thought), golfing, gardening, crafting and loved to be at the beach to collect her favorite shells. Aside from all her involvement, her favorite time was spent with family.
She is survived by her children, Lee Stover (Carissa), Clint Robinson, and son-in-law Barry Bracken; stepdaughters, Pam Froncillo (Frank), Lisa Snyder (Mike), Kathy Donahay, and their families. Also, surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Corey Robinson (Danielle), Will Bracken, Lucas Bracken (Haley), John Stover, and four great grandchildren who she could never get enough of, Logan, Harper, Cole and Parker. With honorable mention, she is survived by two dear friends who stuck with her until the end, Jane Rishel and Karen Knepp. Thank you!
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Belinda Bracken, and a brother, Gordon Lee.
Nancy was a lot of things – guiding, stubborn, loving, independent, considerate, witty, and most of all loved.

Family and friends will be received on Jan. 19, 2024, from 5-6 p.m., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin following social hour, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Williams officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
