SIMCOX -- Susan Y. "Sue" Simcox, 76, formerly of Loganton, died Feb. 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m., in the St. John Lutheran Church, 1450 W. Valley Road, Booneville. Private interment will be held at the family's convenience in the Tylersville Cemetery, Tylersville, Pa.
McKEAGUE -- Joyce M. McKeague, 90, formerly of Castanea, died Feb. 18, 2024. A visitation will be held today from 1-2 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church, 37 Cedar Heights, Mill Hall. Interment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.
HOXIE -- Pauline V. Hoxie, 95, of Jersey Shore, died Feb. 15, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery next to her husband.
TAORMINA -- Philip Anthony Taormina, Jr., 91, of Mill Hall, died Feb. 21, 2024. Funeral services will be held at Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. Full military services will be conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
LORSON -- Lantern Anthony Lorsen, 87, of Limestone Township, died Feb. 21, 2024. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Immaculate Conception Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, Pa. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
PHILLIPS -- Elmer L. Phillips, 82, of Mill Hall, died Feb. 15, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held for Elmer and his late wife, Margie, on Saturday, March 9, from 1-4 p.m. at the Beech Creek Fire Company social hall, 38 Locust St., Beech Creek.
SHIRK -- Deanna K. Shirk, 54, of Bald Eagle Street, Lock Haven, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. Graveside services will be held on March 14, 2024, at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard.
KITCHEN -- Charles Clifton "Mike" Kitchen, 80, of Beech Creek, died Jan. 30, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Friendship Community Center, Main St., Beech Creek, on Sunday, March 17, beginning at noon.
THOMPSON -- Mason S. Thompson, 17, of Tyrone, died Jan. 24, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Smith Family Pavilion in the spring that will be announced later.
ZAKEM -- Beatrice Anna "Gloria" Zakem, 94, formerly of Mill Hall, died Dec. 5, 2023. A memorial service is being planned to be held in the spring.
STROUSE -- Florence Virginia Walker Strouse, 86, of State College, died Dec. 10, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held later, at a date and time that will be announced.
