Frank Earl Miller, 74, of Lewisburg, Pa., previously of Howard, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024 at Riverwoods nursing home in Lewisburg.
Born on June 25, 1949 in Lock Haven, Pa., he was the son of the late Clair William Miller and Isabelle Marie Gray Miller.
Frank grew up in Howard and attended Bald Eagle Area High School.
In 1968 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Following that, he was employed by Haven Homes until he started his own construction business.
He spent many of his years in Lewisburg working for Mark Antony Painting & Remodeling before he retired.
He enjoyed antiquing, fishing and hunting with his brothers. His favorite fishing spot was at the Raymond B. Winter Dam, which he frequented often.
Frank is survived by three children -- his daughter, Anna Batman (Brandon); and twin sons, Richard Zimmerman and Raymond Zimmerman; six siblings Anne Benner (Bob); Jayne Harer (Don); Claire Miller; Joan Morgan (Frank Brinkley); William Miller (Hope); Scott Miller (Ann); and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother, Clyde "Dick" Miller.
Frank will be laid to rest in Schenck's Cemetery, Howard Township, with a private burial held at the convenience of the family.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, April 12, beginning at 11 a.m., at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, 801 Market St., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
