Franklin Leroy Kramer

Franklin Leroy Kramer, 83, of North Port, Fla., unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord Friday March 22, with his wife, Janet, by his side.

He was born Jan. 13, 1941 in Lock Haven, Pa., to Ernest and Charolette Kramer.

Frank was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. He was a veteran of the National Guard, worked at Hammermill Paper Co. and was the manager of the Lock Haven Laundry. After retiring, he was a consultant at Greico's Laundry.

He was a member of the Flemington Church of Christ from a very young age. He was also a lifetime member of the Lock Haven Elks club, a lifetime member of the Amvets where he was serving as a trustee and a member of the Moose.

Frank loved cooking for his family, dancing with Janet, fishing, Bocce, horseshoes, sharing his sense of humor, watching the wildlife on the river and playing cards. In his younger years Frank was an avid hunter, fishermen, snowmobiler, boater and enjoyed camping with his family and friends.

Frank was well known in the Lock Haven area as well as his new community, Harbor Cove. He was willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. You knew if he liked you because he picked on you or gave you a nickname.

He was a wonderful husband, father and pappy, and gave his family many amazing opportunities and adventures that we will hold close to our hearts forever.

Frank is survived by his wife, Janet Kramer; his daughter, Michelle Rau (Brandon); his two granddaughters, Karlaina McClelland and Teryn MeKeel (Christopher); his sister, Judith Tressler; his brothers, Wayne Kramer (Debbie) and William Kramer (Esther); and his sister-in-law, Francis Kramer.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lavon Kleckner; and his brother, Donald Kramer.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family in the future.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Frank's name to the Flemington Church of Christ in Flemington, Pa.
