Lois Marie Kreamer Peddigree, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pa., Saturday, April 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Lois's unwavering strength, boundless love and infinite patience in life were insurmountable. Lois was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sibling and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Lois is survived by her husband, Gregory Peddigree, Sr., who she married Jan. 13, 1968, and celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year.
Lois was blessed with a daughter, Kelly Swartwood; and a son, Greg Peddigree, Jr., and his wife Melissa; along with four grandsons, Brandon, Brett and Bryant Peddigree and Christian Swartwood; a great-granddaughter, Cohen Peddigree; a sister, Amy Nickerson; and a brother, Richard Kreamer. Lois had a remarkable connection with animals that was evident in every aspect of her life. Lois would lift insects to safety from a swimming pool, release spiders outside of her home and feed any stray that found their way to her doorstep, only to rehome it or make it a family member of her own.
Lois found immense joy in providing nourishment to local wildlife. She had the best well fed birds, chipmunks, squirrels, ducks and deer on her street and potentially in the town.
She loved to pass her time with her hands in the dirt and growing beautiful flowers at her home.
Lois owned and operated B & D's Ceramics & Tanning for many years, a business originally started by her parents. In addition, she worked at Woolrich Woolen Mills and Grants in Lock Haven. Lois was a graduate of Lock Haven Sr. High School and Pennsylvania College of Technology.
