William E. Dixson, 90, of Bellefonte passed away on April 23, 2024, at Centre Care.
Born on Nov. 4, 1933, in Lock Haven, Pa., he was the son of the late Theodore Dixson and Myrtle Boone Dixson. On May 10, 1957, he married Doris L Glossner Dixson, who preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 1993.
William was a 1952 graduate of Howard High School. He was a member of Stagger Inn Hunting Camp, having joined in 1955 and was a life-time member of the Bellefonte Moose.
He enjoyed playing cards and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.
He worked for 43 years and retired from Clasters in Bellefonte, Pa.
William is survived by a daughter, Sharon A Jones (Joel) of Pleasant Gap, Pa.; two sons, Rickey E. Dixson (Karen) of Berwick, Pa. and Randy E. Dixson of Bellefonte, Pa.; along with 6 grandchildren, Daphne Laidacker (Nate), Brian Dixson (Kathryn), Jolene Smith (Jason), Josh Jones (Andrea Rager), Jennie Dirks (Andrew), Benjamin Dixson; and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Elaine McCloskey, of Marsh Creek, Pa. and sister-in-law, Patricia Dixson of New York.
In addition to his wife, William was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Dixson; son, Barry Dixson and a great granddaughter, Jaylene Smith.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to Noon on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Singer-Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W Main St, Howard, PA. Funeral services will immediately follow with pastor Cindy Killinger officiating.
Burial will take place at Jacksonville Cemetery.
