Dustin W. Rinehart

Dustin W. Rinehart, 46, formerly of Lock Haven, passed away May 10, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born March 15, 1978, to Terry and Sherry Rinehart, who preceded him in death.

Dustin was a 1996 graduate of Lock Haven High, after which he attended Penn State Altoona.

He served in the United States Army from 2003 until 2009. During that time he trained in San Antonio, Texas, and then studied radiology at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. Upon getting his degree in radiology, he was stationed at Irwin Army Hospital in Kansas.

In 2010, he moved with his family to San Antonio, Texas, where he was employed as a Radiologic Technologist at Brooke Army Medical Center.

Cooking was his passion. It was his love language. He was very proud to have catered the holiday party for his department at BAMC for the last four years.

Dustin is survived by his two sons, Lukas and Joshua Rinehart; the love of his life, Carol Szczepankiewicz, and her daughter, Haley, and son, Jacob; his siblings, Laurie (Mike) Brown, Aaron (Leslie) Rinehart, Cheryl (Robert) Lagunilla and Leonard Rinehart; along with his nephews, Nathan and Steve Brown and David and John Lagunilla; and a niece, Caitlin Rinehart.

Internment of his ashes will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in Texas.
