Earl Henry Streck, Jr., beloved husband, father, brother and pillar of the community, passed away on May 1, 2024, at the Williamsport Home in Williamsport, Pa. He was born on April 22, 1943, in Beech Creek, Pa.
Earl was a man of many accomplishments and passions. In his youth, he displayed leadership as co-captain of the Bald Eagle-Nittany Panthers high school football team, guiding them to victory in the West Branch Championship. His dedication and teamwork were evident throughout his life.
Professionally, Earl was a diligent worker, serving at American Color & Chemical, Inc. in Lock Haven, Pa. and later as a production supervisor at Quality Chemical, which later became Albemarle, in Tyrone, Pa. He dedicated years of service to his career, retiring from Albemarle in 2009.
Beyond his work, Earl found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished moments spent hunting, fishing, golfing and tinkering. His love for the outdoors and his knack for fixing things brought him solace and fulfillment. He especially enjoyed spending time and hunting at Camp Injun Lick on Beech Creek mountain.
Earl was deeply involved in his community, exemplified by his active membership in the Sons of Italy and his service on the Porter Township Water Commission. He generously gave his time to coaching the Lamar Cardinals little league team and supporting the Lamar Cub Scouts and Webelos.
Earl was a devoted husband to Mary Ann Streck (Caprio), with whom he shared a home near Mill Hall, Pa. They were married on July 3, 1965, and before and during their marriage, Earl provided Mary Ann with over 60 years of wonderful memories, each cherished moment a testament to their enduring love. He beamed when talking about his son Michael, of whom he was very proud.
His resilience and strength were evident in his battle against throat cancer, which he bravely fought and survived.
Earl Henry Streck, Jr., leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity and perseverance. He will be dearly missed by his sister, Carol Hills and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will lovingly be missed by his wife and son.
Services will be held at Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard on Monday at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
