Esther A. (Watkins) Hanley, 64, of Pine Creek Twp., Lock Haven, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport.
Born Sept. 11, 1959 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Charles L. and Anna J. (Brungard) Watkins.
Esther was married to Thomas "Tom" Hanley, who preceded her in death.
She worked in housekeeping for Penn College and Stonehurst in Williamsport.
Esther enjoyed playing cards, her animals, crocheting, word search puzzles and going to the races.
Surviving are a brother, Charles L. Watkins, Jr., of Cherry Ridge; and five sisters, June M. Young, of Brooksville, Fla., Betty Wetherson, of Northern Cambria, Pa., Judy Pace, of Inverness, Fla., Linda Showers, of Port Barre, La., and Mary Ras, of Calhoun, Tenn.; and her caregivers, Bill and Dottie Gardner, of Lock Haven.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Woolrich Community Park.
Helt Funeral Chapel in Mill Hall has charge of the arrangements.
