Tien Lu ‘Bob’ Chu

Tien Lu Chu, 89, formerly of Lock Haven, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, surrounded by family.

Tien Lu is survived by his wife, Zu Yie, for 64 years and his three children, Ke Chi "Kooch"(Lisa) Chu, Ke Min "Cub" (Marife) Chu and Siao Mei (Hubert) Shick.

He left his "Work, Work, Work, Study, Study, Study" legacy to his six grandchildren, Justin Chu, Michael Chu, Tyler Shick, Tiffany Shick, Katie Chu and Jon Shick; as well as two great-grandchildren, Ella Chu and Ethan Chu.

Tien Lu enjoyed traveling with his wife and loved eating good food. He also enjoyed watching and playing many sports. He was thrilled to watch his eldest son, Kooch, shoot a half court winning shot to win the Central League Championship in 1980.

Tien Lu also shared his love for tennis with both Cub and Siao Mei, and he continued playing tennis with his North Park friends up until last year.

Tien Lu was honored to volunteer for many local charities, and treasured spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who respected him for his hard work ethic.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Sperling Funeral Home, 700 Blazier Drive, Wexford, PA 15090, where a Celebration of Life will be held at noon.

The family would like to invite everyone to attend a reception at Sesame Inn Restaurant located at 711 Browns Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
