Margaret R. Fetterman, 95, of Flemington, passed away July 23, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living peacefully surrounded by family.
She was born in Renovo on June 14, 1929, to Joseph C. and Nora Kelly Fetterman, and was blessed with additional parents, Chester and Ruth Fetterman.
She was a 1948 graduate of Renovo High School and attended Waynesboro Business School. Upon graduation she was employed at the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg.
Although Margaret never had any children of her own, she had several nieces and nephews that she loved very much. She enjoyed spending time with them and her cat, Precious.
She attended the Flemington United Methodist Church as well as the Lutheran Church in Greencastle. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Hagerstown, Md., and was an honorary member of the Queen Ester Chapter #3 for over 76 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, M. Eileen Laubscher and Nora Elizabeth Bower; a brother, Joseph Fetterman; two half sisters, Barbara Fetterman Cannon and Bonnie Fetterman Wadsworth; a half brother, Patrick (Pat) Fetterman; three nieces, Patricia A. Monk and Linda and Nora Fetterman; and a nephew, Harry S. Bower, Jr.
Family and friends will be received in the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2-4 p.m.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, Pa.
