Gregg A. "Homie" Lose, 67, of Lock Haven, passed away at his home on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024.
He was married on Oct. 20, 1979 to the former Deborah A. "Debbie" Gower, who survives. They have shared 43 years of marriage.
Gregg was born on April 7, 1957 in Jersey Shore, and was the son of the late Hayes R. and Shirley L. (Decker) Lose, Sr.
He had graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1976. He had worked and retired from First Quality.
Gregg was a former member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and Penn State wrestling and football. He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandsons.
In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is survived by a son, Gregg A. Lose, II (Hallie), of Blanchard; a daughter, Hilary Jo McCarthy (Edward), of Hubbard, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nicholas P. Lose, Alan M. McCarthy and E. J. McCarthy; five brothers, Hayes R. Lose, Jr. (Patty), of Collomsville, Rory L. Decker (Donna), of Loyalsocksville, Lloyd R. Lose (Louise), of Jersey Shore, Randy K. Lose (Jody), also of Jersey Shore, and Larry C. Lose (Michelle), of Rauchtown; a sister, Renee S. Welshans (Jerry), of Oriole; and a sister-in-law, Kimberly Jo Harger (David), of Avis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery L. Lose.
There will be a public viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at the Tributes of Life Chapel (directly behind Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home), 1000 Hill Alley, Jersey Shore.
The family requests that everyone dress casually in jeans and T-shirts.
