Harry G. Rippey, Jr., 90, formerly of Park Avenue, Woolrich, Pa., passed away Aug. 3, 2024, at Haven Place in Lock Haven, Pa.
Harry was born, June 8, 1934, in Lock Haven, to the late Harry Rippey, Sr. and Gladys Copenhaver Rippey. He was married July 11, 1955, to Shirley L. Toner who survives.
Harry was a graduate of Mill Hall High School and had been employed in the tin shop at Hammermill International Paper, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working in his garden.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley, is a daughter, Tammy (Paul) Shaffer, Jr., of Loganton, Pa.; and a son, Harry G. Rippey, III, of Mill Hall. Also surviving are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ivalou Bartley, Benita Litz and Anna Rowles.
Funeral services for Harry G. Rippey, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Gedon Funeral Home and Cremations Services LLC, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, PA. Officiating will be Pastor Susan Champion of the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Township, Clinton County, Pa. at the convenience of the family.
