Jane Boyer, 85, of Woodward Meadows, Lock Haven, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Dec. 22, 1938 in Swissdale, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida Helbley Shoemaker.
Jane was a 1956 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
In 1957, she married John L. Boyer, Sr., with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2019.
Jane was employed by Woolrich Woolen Mills as a seamstress.
She was a member of Swissdale United Methodist Church.
Jane loved caring for her family and home. She also enjoyed cooking.
Surviving are her sons, John (Debra) Boyer, Jr., of Webbwood, and Gregory Boyer, of Lock Haven; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Shoemaker, Jr.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Swissdale Cemetery, with Pastor Jack Hocker officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa.
