Malcolm P. Myers, Sr., 94, of Lock Haven, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Feb. 21, 1930 in Mill Hall, he was a son of the late Fred D. and Mary E. (Minnick) Myers.
On June 24, 1951 at Covenant United Methodist Church, he married the former Pauline E. Keiffer. They celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage together. She died Aug. 17, 2017.
Malcolm worked in maintenance at Lock Haven University for 12 years before retiring in 1995. He also worked at the Homestead Dairy in Mill Hall, Sealtest Dairy in Mill Hall and American Color and Chemical in Lock Haven. He also worked as a custodian at the Mill Hall post office.
Surviving are a son, Malcolm P. (Deb) Myers, Jr., of Lock Haven; a daughter, Amy E. Myers, of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Angie McGregor and Malcolm J. Foster Myers; and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob and Calli.
He was very loved by his extended stepfamily. two grandsons, Jeff (Shelley) and Justin (Heather); a granddaughter, Jennifer (Danny); three great-granddaughters, Destyne, Bree and Addie; two great-grandsons, Devin and Justin, Jr.; a great-great- granddaughter, Stella Mae; and his fishing buddy, Beverly Grassmier.
Also surviving are 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his five brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Captain Kendall Mahida officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the More Than Bread Program of the Salvation Army-Lock Haven.
