Paul L. Weaver, 73, of Westlake, Louisiana, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday night, Sept. 4, 2024, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Paul was born on Feb. 21, 1951, to Arthur and Eva Weaver, growing up in Farrandsville, Pa.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Susan Parker-Weaver of Westlake, La.; his brother, Lee Weaver (Peggy) of Mifflintown; his son, Mike Weaver and his wife Barbie of Bellefonte; his daughter, Patti Knepp and her husband DJ of Lock Haven; his stepdaughter, Geneva Parker of Beaumont, Texas; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Shane), Seth (Maria), Zachary (Kayla), Madison (Austyn), Jaxson and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Blair, Brock and Marci; and several nieces.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eva Weaver; his brother, Jim Weaver; and his sisters, Olive Barton and Louise Carpenter.
Despite an early-life loss of his eyesight, he never let it stop him from achieving his goals pursuing careers as both an auto mechanic, and later in life, a massage therapist. He spent his time catching up with his family, keeping informed on current events, and hanging out with his rescued furry friends. He was always quick to crack a joke, have a lively discussion on any topic and offer you his most sincere advice. To describe him in just one word -- would be "tenacious." Paul will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and brother, a proud grandfather and a beloved friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
