Robert P. "Bob" Boone, 77, of Marsh Creek, Howard, was greeted at Heaven's Gate by his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024.
Born on Sept. 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Paul L. and B. Louise (Weaver) Boone.
On May 3, 1965, he married Martha "Martie" Robinson. Martie passed away on Dec. 24, 2007.
Bob graduated from Bald Eagle Area High School in 1964. He was a sales representative for Gerber Baby Products for many years. Not ready for retirement, Bob then worked at First Quality in Lock Haven before retiring after 12 years of service.
Bob was a member of the Summit Hill Wesleyan Church. His church life was very important to him. He would read his Bible daily, until his eyesight made it more difficult. He would watch and listen to religious programs on his television from early morning until late at night.
Bob enjoyed auctions and flea markets. He was a collector of many items -- Tobies, toy cars and coins, to name a few.
Above all these things, Bob's family was most important. He loved his family and was supportive of all their adventures. He would glow with love when his grandchildren were in the room.
Bob is survived by his children, Paula K. Boone, of Howard, Jeffrey M. Boone, of Marsh Creek, Megan A. Valkenburg and her husband, Michael, of Forty Fort, Pa., and Andrew I. Boone and his wife, Heather, of New Cumberland, Pa. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Jordon Boone (Kailiana), Colin Boone, Jacob Valkenburg, Logan Valkenburg, Robert Valkenburg and Vivian Valkenburg.
Along with his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by his only sister, Carol Ripka.
