Thomas G. Welshans
Thomas G. Welshans, 75, passed away on Sept. 8, 2024 at UPMC in Carlisle.
Thomas was born Monday, April 25, 1949, in Lock Haven, Pa., to Hillaire and Kathryn (Frank) Welshans.
Thomas was a 1967 graduate of Sugar Valley High School. He furthered his education at Williamsport Community College and graduated in 1969.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, spending time in the mountains and Penn State football and wrestling.
He worked and retired after 30 plus years of service at Boyer and Ritter as an accountant.
He was a member of the Sugar Valley Social Club and a member of the Carlisle Fish and Game. He was a family man and especially enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren's sports and activities.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen E. (Morrow) Welshans, of Carlisle; their children, Jennifer (husband Terry) White, of Mt. Holly Springs, Pa., Cory (wife Serena) Welshans, of Alexandria, Va., and William (wife Megan) Welshans, of Selinsgrove, Pa.; a sister, Beverly (husband Marlin) Karstetter, Loganton, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Kathryn, Matthew, Jacob, Brandon, Isabella and Tabitha; and three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Road, Carlisle, Pa.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, Pa., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Steve Salisbury will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at Westminster Cemetery.
