Harold L. Spicer, Sr., 94, of Howard, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on June 8, 1930 in Union Township, he was the son of the late Toner A. and Edith (Hoover) Spicer.
On June 27, 1954, he married the love of his life Stella Rachel (Confer) Spicer who survives at home. They shared 70 wonderful years together.
Harold was a family man. Spending time with those he loved was the most important thing to him. He traveled all across the country with his family, visiting 49 out of the 50 states. He also enjoyed relaxing and watching western movies.
He attended Bellefonte Area High School and then went on to work for Cerro Metal for 51 years.
He was also a member of the Howard Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Stella, Harold is survived by a son LeRoy Spicer; a daughter Rochelle Spicer; granddaughter Brittany Cornelius (Brennan); and two great-grandchildren, Eliot and Graham.
Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by all 20 of his siblings.
A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024 and again from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 135 W. Main St., Howard, PA.
A funeral service will immediately follow on Thursday with Pastor Craig Rose Officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Howard United Methodist Church.
