John Frederick Tysarczyk, of Davenport, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born on Aug. 25, 1948 in Williamsport, Pa., where he grew up.
John was a retired U.S. Air Force pilot. Serving country and state, in both active duty and reserves, he reached a rank of Major before his military retirement.
Highly decorated and honored, after his retirement, he focused on family and friends, and continued to work with others doing taxes as well as owning his own small business, LTSway Telecommunications. He also drove the train at Busch Gardens as a Master Engineer.
Loved by so many, John touched many lives in amazing ways. From his flight team, his family and his many neighbors in countries spanning the globe, to the cashiers, baristas and servers at his local dining spots, John was someone you met and always remembered for the kindness he showed. A heart of gold does not begin to compare to the compassion that John showed.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, and his brother, Steven June.
John is survived by his daughter, Jama Tysarczyk; his son, John F. Tysarczyk, Jr.; his grandson, Andrew Tysarczyk; his sister, Teresa Peters (Glen); his brother, William Glossner (Brenda); a sister-in-law, Tami June; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. at the community center in Beech Creek.
