Connie L. Brumgard
Connie L. Brumgard went to the Lord suddenly Dec. 5, 2024.
She was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Bellefonte, to Gertrude Vonada and the late Walter Zeigler and her stepfather, Fred Vonada. Connie graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1965. She retired from Penn State University in 2017 where she worked her way through the ranks finally working as an Area 4 maintenance supervisor where she thought highly of her crew and they respected her. Prior to moving back to Pennsylvania she worked at the Houston Power and Light nuclear plant.
Connie married Randolph Brumgard in July of 1971, who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2014.
She was a very caring person who loved her family and always put them ahead of herself. She liked flower arranging and tending to her flowers in the summer.
She is survived by her mother; a sister, Carol Franks; a brother Clarence Zeigler, both of Zion; her son in law, Dennis O’Connell of Zion and her granddaughters, Faith Brumgard and Grace Brumgard of Fayetteville, N.C., who were the light of her life. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie O’Connell and her son, Master Sergeant Randolph Brumgard Jr.
She will greatly be missed by her family and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home 135 W Main St, Howard, PA 16841.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 with Pastor David Penchak officiating.
Interment will be at the Zion Cemetery.
