Jeff Maguire

Jeff Maguire

Jeff Maguire, born April 21, 1958, weighing 11.5 pounds, was the youngest son of Jim and Shirley Maguire, who survive.

Also surviving are his foster brother, Roy (Donna) Timblin; brothers, Jim (Lori) and Bob (still looking); sisters, Becky (Tom) Charles and Markay (Hev) Heverly; daughters, Mary Wagner and Heidi (Mat) Frank; step-children, Robert and Charlotte; a whole clan of grandchildren; and a boatload of nieces and nephews.

Jeff had a deep passion for family — including his Dad who was his best friend and Mom who could always make him laugh, friends, children, dogs (especially Copper and Reggie) and his country. At age 5, his career started with his father preparing him to operate dozers, log and dump trucks. He took particular pride in his construction business of log and post and beam homes, working independently with Hearthstone out of Tennessee, erecting homes all over the country.

He fashioned his own home from salvaged logs and entertained many of his friends and family, cooking his special recipes on an old cook stove along with lots and lots of libations and good stories.

Jeff had three former spouses, Kathy Weaver (Mary), Robin Shadle (Heidi) and the late Judy McCloskey (Robert and Charlotte) and his very dear longtime companion, Mara Moore (Mandy, Jade, Cory and Tia).

With deep appreciation, his family thanks the first responders and folks at the Dialysis Center.

A Life Celebration will be held at Restless Oaks Restaurant, McElhattan, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024 from 3 to 7 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to show up for an informal gathering with good eats and great stories of Jeff’s 66 years on this earth.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of his family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
