Earl Ray Yarnell, 84 of Mingoville, Pa., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Earl was born on June 4, 1940, at his home in Hublersburg to the late Philip and Blanche (Orr) Yarnell. He grew up in Hublersburg and remained there until his marriage to Doris Edna Workman on Feb. 20, 1959, who survives him in Mingoville.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his daughter, Marcia (Scott) Bosak of Snow Shoe; his furry granddog Sam and his sister, Georgia (David) Homan of Bellefonte. Also surviving are his dear friends Todd and Jenny Summers and their 8 children as well as his precious church family.
In addition to Earl's parents, also preceding him are his in-laws, Chester and Edna Workman, and his two sisters, Shirley Powers Bennett and Peggy Yost.
Earl was a 1958 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He was very proud of his perfect attendance going all 12 years without missing a day. He loved sports, especially baseball, soccer and golf. He was very proud of being the Nittany Country Club Champ when he turned 50. He also had several holes in one at the course and made many wonderful friendships there.
Earl worked for 42 1/2 years at Murata Erie in State College as the Machine shop supervisor.
Earl was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Hublersburg.
Family and friends will be received for a time of visitation from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 135 W Main St. Howard, PA 16841. A funeral service will take place later in the day at 12:30 PM at the Trinity Reformed Church in Hublersburg with Pastor Keith Koch Officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Reformed Church, 355 Hublersburg Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823 in memory of Earl Yarnell.
The family would like to thank all of the Hospice nurses and health aides for their compassion and helpfulness when they took care of Earl.
