Charles A. Saltsman, Jr.

Charles A. Saltsman, Jr., 81, of East Renovo passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Bucktail Medical Center, South Renovo.

Born Nov. 9, 1943 in Renovo he was a son of the late Charles A. Saltsman, Sr. and Letha (Saxton) Saltsman.

He was married March 23, 1962 to the former Rebecca A. Wagner. They celebrated 62 years of marriage together.

Charles worked as a welder for Hammermill Paper Co.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports especially wrestling.

Surviving are his loving wife; one son Charles A. (Candace) Saltsman, III, of South Renovo; and two daughters, Debra (Richard) Kelley, of East Renovo, and Lisa (Eric) Thompson, of Dunnstown; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a special nephew Mark Eugene Lavelle, of North Bend.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Madelyn Lirette, Maxine Putnam, Marlene Lavelle, Mary Jane Chalfant and Margaret Neese and a nephew Charles “Peanut” Long.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
