Dorothy L. (Aikey) Muthler

Dorothy L. (Aikey) Muthler, 89, of Lock Haven passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home.

Born Aug. 8, 1935 in Lock Haven a daughter of the late Thomas and Lavina (Reeger) Aikey.

Dorothy was married to Dean N. Muthler, Sr. on Feb. 10, 1978. They celebrated 44 years of marriage together. He died Jan. 22, 2023.

She worked for Piper Aircraft for 17 and a half years and was a secretary for Community Nursing in Dunnstown for 11 years.

Dorothy was a member of United Lutheran Church and was a former church treasurer.

She enjoyed Knitting and watching the Philadelphia Phillies.

Surviving are a son, David (Nancy) Heltman, of Tampa, Fla.; a step-son, Neil Muthler, of Jersey Shore; one daughter, Karen (Mike) Ricker, of Dunnstown; a step-daughter, Alma (Woody) Duck, of Lock Haven; seven grandchildren; and three great -grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Aikey.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Minister Ed Coup officiating.

Friends and relatives will be received one-hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made to the United Lutheran Church in her memory.

Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
