James T. Reichard, Sr., 88, of Lock Haven, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Born Oct. 31, 1936 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Reuben J. and Maxine Myers Reichard.
Jim was a 1954 graduate of Lock Haven High School and obtained his Bachelor's degree in teaching from Lock Haven State Teacher's College.
He taught at Lock Haven Junior High School for 35 years before his retirement in 1993.
On June 9, 1956, Jim married the former Margie Heckman, who survives.
He was a member of the Lock Haven United Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Jim loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Margie, he is survived by two children, James (Donna) Reichard, Jr., of Watsontown, and Kimberly (Dan) Muthler, of Mill Hall; a sister, Linda (Dan) McCaslin, of Lock Haven; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott T. Brown.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Lock Haven United Evangelical Lutheran Church.
