Roy C. Brickley, 89, of Howard, Pa., passed away, March 23, 2025 at the Williamsport Hospital.
Roy was born on Sept. 18, 1935 to the late Chester E. and Alice (Thompson) Brickley. On June 28, 1958 he married Nancy I. Harter who preceded him in death in 2006.
Roy was a 1953 graduate of Bald Eagle High School and retired from Lezzer Lumber where he worked as a truck driver and in the lumber yard. He was a farmer at heart, but his family farm was taken for the Howard Dam.
Roy was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and gardener. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Beagle Club and enjoyed training his beagles for hunting. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football team.
He is survived by three sons, Robert (Carrie) Brickley, of Howard, Dennis Brickley, of Lamar, and Gene (Theresa) Brickley, of Howard. Also, three grandchildren, Cody and Ashlyn Brickley and Alex Genet.
Roy was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Sue Brickley, who passed in 2004; and siblings Sheldon (Evelyn) Brickley, Evelyn (Ralph) Gentile, and Eleanor (Sanford Sr.) Yost.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, PA.
Private graveside services at Schenck Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
