SUMMERSON — Mary Ellen (Hunter) Summerson, 81, died July 10, 2025. A public viewing will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Walnut Street Baptist Church, 201 W. Highland St., Avis.

SAAR — Joanne “Judy” (Bechdel) Saar, died Friday July 11, 2025. The funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Pine Creek Valley Christian Church, 26 Locomo Lane, Jersey Shore. A viewing will be held in the church from 10 a.m. until time of the service.

BROOKS — Patricia “Patsy” (Fenstermaker) Brooks, 84, died July 12, 2025. A Celebration of Patsy’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 315 Thompson St., Jersey Shore. Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Avis.

SEMENTELLI — Blaine M. Sementelli, 21, of Mill Hall, died June 8, 2025. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 19, from 5:30-7 p.m., at Tri County Church, 205 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa.

SCHROPE — Charles W. “Skip” Schrope, Sr., 92, of Bellefonte, died Saturday, June 21, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 25, at 11 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.

KLINE — Daniel Edward Kline, 50, of Vancouver, Wash., passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 6, 2025. Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Frederick Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Memorial services will then be held at 11 a.m. Following the service, all are welcome to join the family for food and fellowship at First United Methodist Church, 234 Main St., Jersey Shore.

ZELLERS — Meriam A. Zellers, 92, died May 20, 2025. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Tylersville Community Cemetery. A luncheon following services will be at the Gamble Mill Restaurant in Bellefonte, Pa.

DUNLAP — Randall D. Dunlap, 83, of Swissdale, died June 27, 2025. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Dunnstown Fire Hall on Saturday, Aug. 23, beginning at 11 a.m. Bring your favorite story or memory to share!

NOVOSEL — Lois Novosel died on Feb. 22, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall with inurnment at Jacksonville Cemetery, Bellefonte.

REEDER — Shirley J. Reeder, 85, of Lock Haven, died June 20, 2025. A graveside memorial service at Cedar Hill Cemetery will be announced at a later date.

BOWMAN — Dean L. Bowman, Jr., 72, of Mill Hall, died June 24, 2025. A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced.

MCCOMBS — Brian E. McCombs, 57, died in Okinawa, Japan, on July 6, 2025. Services will be announced later by Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Flemington, Pa.
