John Charles ‘Jackie’ Williams, Jr.

John Charles “Jackie” Williams, Jr., 68, of Howard, passed away at home on June 27, 2025, surrounded by his children after a second battle with cancer. He had successfully beat a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, only to have a second cancer diagnosis a few short years later.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1956, in Bellefonte, the son of the late John C. Williams, Sr. and Theodora A. (Hironimus) Williams.

On Nov. 9, 1974, he married the late Sabrina R. Robison.

Jackie was a graduate of Bald Eagle High School Class of 1974 and an employee of Corning Asahi until the plant closed. He had several other jobs before ultimately retiring from TRS Technologies due to his illness.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and watching his favorite sports teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Jackie is survived by a son, Tyler, of Howard, who provided compassionate care throughout his illness; two daughters, Jennifer (James) Lego, of Tyrone, and Ashley (Tony) Tressler, of Bellefonte; two grandsons, Dillon Lego (Mackenzie Walter), of Port Matilda, and Corbin Lego (Paige Grager), of Tyrone; and two granddaughters, Eleanor and Vivian Tressler, of Bellefonte, all of whom he was extremely proud of.

He is also survived by a brother, Larry (Betsy) Williams, of Unionville; two sisters, Debra (Huck) Barner, of Lock Haven, and Helen (James) Meyer, of Howard; and his father-in-law, Donald Robison, of Unionville.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, David; his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Robison; and a niece, Amber Lee Day.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the Bald Eagle State Park, Pavilion #5, on Skyline Drive, Howard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Howard Fire Company.
