Carol Jean Rupert

Carol Jean Rupert, 80, recent resident of Wolf Run Village, longtime resident of Muncy, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025 from complications of lung cancer and COPD.

She was born in Lock Haven on July 1, 1945, the youngest child of the late Lloyd and Edna Bechdel Etters, of Beech Creek. She was married for 34 years to Kenneth C. Rupert Sr., who died Nov. 22, 2003.

A 1963 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School, in her younger years she worked at Bobbie Brooks, and after her children were grown, at Arby’s Lycoming Mall.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Jr. (Robert), of Bedminster, N.J., and Terry (Michelle), of Danville; three grandchildren, Austin Rupert (Catherine), of Mechanicsburg, Dylan Rupert (Laura), of Mocanaqua, and Marissa Rupert, of Danville; three great-grandchildren, Thallia, Elise and Evelyn, with another on the way; two sisters, Lois Shawley, of Lock Haven, Shirley Seyler, of Beech Creek; and a brother, James Etters, of Beech Creek.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by sisters, Mary Hanley, Beverly Rupert, Relda Kinley, Dorothy Askins and brothers, Lloyd Etters, Richard Etters, Robert Etters and Raymond Etters.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lycoming County SPCA.
