Edward C. Elder

Edward C. Elder, 78, of San Tan Valley, Ariz., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025.

Born March 25, 1947, in Lock Haven, Pa. the son of the late Edward C. Elder, Sr. and Sarah (Emel) Elder, he grew up in Beech Creek, Pa. and was a 1965 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School (BEN). He worked for 17 years as the marketing director at the former American Color & Chemical, Lock Haven, and for 25 years as the North American Supply Chain Director at Clariant Corporation. He also lived several years in Charlotte, N.C. After retiring, he made his home in San Tan Valley, Ariz.

Ed enjoyed scenery and traveling, having driven through and stayed in all 48 contiguous states with family, and also made some European trips.

Surviving are two sons, Edward Elder III and Adam Elder (Shelley); three brothers, George Sr. (Sharon), William (Sharon) and John Elder (Trish), a sister, Peg DeHaas (Sonny); and four grandchildren, Addison, Michael, Leia and Molly.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Logan Elder.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Ed’s message to all is “Always utilize all available resources for betterment of life!”

His interment will be at the Bossert-Hays-Fearon Cemetery in Beech Creek, Pa.
