John M. McCullough, Sr.

JOHN McCULLOUGH, SR.
John M. McCullough, Sr., 83, of Haneyville, passed away Aug. 8, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Jersey Shore, the son of the late George M. McCullough and Leota V. (Cryder) McCullough.
He was married for 53 years to Patricia A. Toomey McCullough who survives along with a daughter, Gale (Rob) Stringfellow, and a son, Matthew (Becky) McCullough. He has two brothers, Kenneth (Barb) McCullough, Dennis McCullough; a sister, Nancy (Dale) VanKirk, and was preceeded in death by a son, John M. McCullough Jr., and a sistser, Connie (Rich) Sellers. He also has six grandchildren, Karissa, Devin, Logan, Ashleigh, Michael, Wyatt and two great-grandchildren, Easton and Aspen.
He served in the Army from 1962-1965. He worked at Pondersoa Game Preserve until 1979, then Woolrich Woolen Mills from 1980-2002 when he retired. John loved the mountains, and he was one of the oldest haneyville natives. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping, but most of all he loved to hunt turkeys.
There will be no service at John’s request. Burial will be at the conveience of the family.
